The traditional wire rope testing method is a manual visual inspection. This method is used by a full-time inspector to observe the wire rope in use at regular intervals, and the caliper is used to measure the rope diameter, hand touch or naked eye to find defects. Obviously, manual visual inspection can only find defects exposed in the wire rope, such as (broken wire), and there is no power for internal defects. Wire ropes or wire rope segments that are invisible to the human eye will not be inspected and will be affected by human factors. Larger, the reliability of the inspection results is poor.

Recently, Zhuhai Testing Institute successfully developed a wireless wire rope magnetic flux leakage detector. Based on the research and development of wireless wire rope magnetic flux leakage detector based on TMR array double detection ring, the project has applied for 2 invention patents and authorized utility model patents. 2 pieces, obtained 1 software copyright, published 2 papers (including 1 EI search), compiled 1 product standard, and owned independent intellectual property rights.

This project is aimed at the problem of wire rope detection technology, and proposes a double-loop detection integrated method of active excitation and residual magnetic leakage magnetic field to effectively reduce the false positive rate of wire rope defect detection. The multi-sensor detection scheme suitable for wire rope set is designed to optimize the sensor magnetic field. Road structure and magnetic sensor layout, with multiple wire rope synchronous magnetic flux scanning imaging function; developed wireless wire rope group magnetic flux leakage detector, can achieve slight wear, single broken wire and other defects detection, can be widely used in inspection Inspection and inspection and daily maintenance of the inspection organization and elevator installation maintenance unit can effectively improve the detection rate and discovery rate of wire rope defects, eliminate the safety hazards in the bud, and have good social benefits.
