Chicago Still & Box Alarm fire, 2-23-14

Here's a message from Dan Shevlin:

Still & Box Alarm at 83rd Street and Marquette. Estimated time of arrival was around 0640. Date: February 23, 2014. A two-story ordinary building, 50x50 feet. Fire was on the second floor. Two ladder trucks and three hoselines were deployed. Engine 126 had a long stretch due to a frozen hydrant right in front of the building.

Below are some photos taken by Dan Shevlin at the scene:

These images give a glimpse into the response efforts during this fire incident. It's always interesting to see how quickly crews mobilize and respond under challenging conditions like frozen hydrants and long stretches. The photos also highlight the dedication and professionalism of the firefighters who worked that day.
