Murata Machinery Co., Ltd. developed the spindle active lathe "MV200"

Murata Machinery has developed the spindle active lathe "MV200". It is scheduled to be exhibited at the "MECHATRONICS TECHNOLOGY JAPAN" (Nagoya International Exhibition Center) held on October 17-20, 2007, and will be listed on the same day. The chuck size is 250 mm in diameter. It is the same as the "MV120" with a chuck diameter of 205mm. It is characterized by the fact that although it is a manual model, the workpiece is transported by the spindle chuck. There is no need to perform loading operations such as mounting blanks on the spindle chuck.
Since the workpiece can be automatically attached to the spindle chuck, the operation error is less and the assembly and disassembly time is shorter than that of the manual model. The lathe loads the next processing blank while the operator is machining, until the completed workpiece is taken out, and the series of actions takes 3.0 seconds (measured by the company). By automating the loading operation, the average number of machines that can be operated by each operator is increased.

When multiple MV200s are arranged to form a production line, it is easier to meet the needs of process modification because the workpieces are manually handled between processes. In addition, it is possible to construct a production line suitable for single-piece production of variant variables.

In terms of rapid feed rate, the X/Z axes are 40 m/min and 30 m/min, respectively. The workpiece with a diameter of 200 mm × length 100 mm can be machined under standard conditions. In addition to the 10-point servo head, an auxiliary thread comb cutter table is also provided. The tool table can be equipped with a rotary cutter assembly, a deburring assembly and a grinder assembly for centralized assembly of the process.
