Impregnated composite bearing

The porous material is impregnated with a porous material to form a solid-lubricated impregnated composite bearing, and the solid lubricant stored inside the bearing bush continuously supplies a solid lubricant to the friction surface as the bearing pad wears. A typical composite bearing is made of carbon graphite as a matrix material, impregnated with soft metal, polytetrafluoroethylene or inorganic material (BaF2).

The methods of impregnation are:

1. The impregnation is brought into a molten state and vacuum impregnated.

2. A hardening liquid is used as a carrier, and the impregnation is placed therein for impregnation.

3. Using a volatile liquid as a carrier, the impregnation is dispersed therein for impregnation, and then the liquid is volatilized.

4. The impregnation is vaporized and then impregnated.

The impregnate not only acts as a lubricant, but also increases the strength of the matrix material.
