Recently, Norwegian ballast water treatment company Optimarin received a contract to supply ballast water treatment systems for the nine three-purpose workboats (AHTS) being built by Pacific Shipbuilding Group. 
The new vessels were designed by the Shanghai joint design team of Pacific Shipbuilding, and the operator is ESNAAD, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company of the United Arab Emirates. The tugboat has a bollard pull of 80 tons and is designed to operate in the Arabian Gulf. All nine ships are designed with SPA80A and are expected to be delivered by the end of 2017.
