Wang Ning: Today, the topic of my speech is about the impact of urbanization on the automotive industry, especially commercial enterprises. In my day-to-day work, I have received a lot of questions, especially the problems of peer executives. Under the circumstances of new economic development, what impact will a commercial vehicle company have on the future technological development direction of our products? I would like to use it today. The speeches, that is to say, learned from Iveco's experience and lessons learned in the process of European urbanization of a leading European commercial vehicle company. We share with you and hope to have some reference and guidance for China's commercial vehicle industry in China.
In Europe around 1950, its urbanization reached 50%. Our country, China, probably reached this level around 2010, lagging far behind Europe. It takes about 30 years for Europe to urbanize from 50% to 70%. According to the UN survey data, they think that China is 50%, reaching 70%, and Europe's 2010 level, maybe 30 years or even shorter.
What does this explain? Although urbanization is now our government, or whether it is an economic industry or a lot of words, we believe that urbanization and the development of human society are an inevitable trend. After a period of rapid industrialization, the level of post-industrialization is With improvement and improvement in living standards, urbanization is actually an inevitable development. Europe has already passed and China has just begun to enter. What impact will this development have on our commercial vehicle companies?
There are about three types of impacts, the most important ones. Two more important points are that urbanization affects commercial vehicles. Professional commercial vehicles will increase, and general use will decrease. Another impact on our commercial vehicle industry is environmental protection.
