Q&A on the plastic injection mold
Â
Q. I have an idea for a new product, but don't know if it can be manufactured. Can you help?
A. Yes! We are always happy to work with potential customers to evaluate the technical feasibility of your idea or design and we can advise on materials, tooling and likely set-up costs.
Q. What are the advantages to having my parts manufactured locally?
A. Vertex can offer quick reaction times to any changes in specification, batch size or material. We can ship small or large quantities anywhere in Europe overnight to accommodate unforeseen changes in demand.
Q. My components have already been developed on CAD. Can you use the drawings?
A. Yes! DWG, DXF, IGES, Solidworks and Rhino files can all be used to generate quotes, models and mould tools - this can save time and money in producing your parts.
Q. Can I test my idea/component before committing to mould tool manufacture?
A. Yes, we can use CAD drawings to make models for design and functional evaluations.
Q. What type of plastic is best for my design/component?
A. Materials selection depends on the application of your design and the environment in which it will function. We will be happy to discuss the alternatives and suggest the best material.
Â
Q. What type of mould tool do I need?
A. Mould tools can be either single cavity (one part at a time) or multi-cavity (2,4, 8 or 16 parts at a time). Single cavity tools are generally used for small quantities, up to 10,000 parts per year whereas multi-cavity tools are for larger quantities. We can look at your projected annual requirements and recommend which would be best for you.
Â
Q.Ok, I've decided to go ahead with my project. How long will it take to get my parts?
A. It can take 3or6 weeks to have the mould tool manufactured depending on the part's complexity and the number of impressions (single or multi). After we have received final approval by you of the new tool, you can expect delivery of parts within 3-5 days.

Glue for wood door thickening composite process
Composite glue - classification of composite glue
1. Oily compound glue
Oil-glue compounding, also called glue compounding, is a kind of compounding. Generally speaking, it is relative to flame compounding. It is different from flame compounding in that it is not a layer of sponge but glue between the top fabric and the base fabric. Although the cost is lower than that of flame compounding, it has a harder feel.
2, pet compound glue
A special adhesive for thermal compounding made from thermoplastic polyester resin. It has excellent adhesion to PVC, PET, etc. It is synthesized from a single formula. It can be rolled after coating and drying. The thermal compounding temperature is low. It is suitable for high-quality PET and other materials compound products.
PVC composite adhesive refers to the adhesive that attaches PVC soft sheets to wood products such as MDF and plywood. Generally, it is made of high molecular polymer and resin. PVC composite glue is generally used for the production of PVC-coated wooden doors, panel furniture, etc.
4. Aluminized film composite adhesive
Aluminized film compound adhesive refers to the adhesive compound of PET and coated paper and other paper. Generally, the non-aluminized PET surface is coated with glue and then compounded with paper.
The aluminized film composite adhesive is generally a water-based acrylate polymerized emulsion. Strong adhesion to PET is required.
5. Metal composite glue
Also known as metal composite glue, bimetal composite glue, explosion-free metal composite glue, is a polymer polymer glue. It can be used for the composite between metal and metal, metal and plastic, MDF, synthetic board, stone, ceramics, glass, etc. The typical use is stainless steel foil (plate) or copper foil (plate) and cold-rolled metal door panel production. Composite of steel plates.
6. Water-based plastic-plastic composite adhesive
Water-based plastic-plastic composite adhesive refers to the water-based adhesive used for plastic flexible packaging composite. It is suitable for compounding between plastic flexible packaging BOPP, PE, PET, aluminized film, etc.
