The development of the online calibration device for the automatic meteorological station of Fujian Metrology Institute passed the acceptance test.

The automatic weather station is a high-tech multi-element automatic observation instrument. Each element sensor is an electrical signal output, and the measurement accuracy will drift with time.

Therefore, automatic weather stations must be periodically verified and field calibrated to ensure that the observations of the automatic weather stations are accurate, reliable and comparable, providing accurate observations for meteorological forecasts and scientific research.

Recently, the Fujian Provincial Market Supervision Bureau organized the acceptance of the scientific research project “Development of Automatic Calibration Station for Automatic Weather Station” (No. FJQI2016017) undertaken by the Provincial Metrology Institute. The participating experts listened to the work research report of the project team and watched the live demonstration, and agreed to pass the acceptance.

The on-line calibration device of the automatic weather station developed by the project realizes the automatic collection and transmission processing of wireless remote data for the calibration of main measurement parameters such as temperature (including temperature and ground temperature), humidity, air pressure, wind speed, starting wind speed and rainfall. The original record is automatically generated, the whole process is intelligent, the accuracy is high, and it has the advantages of convenient carrying, high work efficiency and strong versatility, and provides technical guarantee for the accurate and reliable monitoring data of the automatic weather station. The promotion and application of the project has good social and economic benefits.
