Sony has a new head-mounted display, but this time Sony will target the medical field.
Since 2011, Sony has introduced a head-mounted display every year, allowing users to enjoy large-sized images like movies. This year, Sony will also introduce a head-mounted display, but this time it will no longer cater for the viewing needs of general users, but will become a medical endoscope display device.
According to Sony's press release, this HMM-3000MT head-mounted display will help surgeons to observe the patient in 2D and 3D.
Sony HMM-3000MT has a 0.7-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1280*720, providing high contrast, high quality color reproduction and fast response speed. In addition, the Sony HMM-3000MT also features dual-panel 3D technology, allowing Sony to create clear 3D images without flickering through different display panels for left and right eyes.
