National Fine Chemical Industrialization Base Settled in Fushun

On the morning of August 19th, during the official licensing ceremony for the Fushun National Fine Chemical Industrialization Base, Wang Yang, the Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor, received the prestigious "National Fine Chemical Industrialization Base" plaque from Cao Jianlin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The base was officially established in the High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Fushun City, marking a significant milestone in the city's industrial development. Fushun is known for its abundant petrochemical resources and has seen rapid growth in the fine chemical industry. Currently, the city produces over 800 types of fine chemical products, with 53 of them holding a leading position domestically and 32 reaching international advanced standards. Renowned institutions such as the Fushun Petrochemical Research Institute and Liaoning University of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering play a vital role in driving innovation and research in this sector. This recognition as a national-level base will further boost the city’s petrochemical industry and support the revitalization of Fushun’s traditional industrial base. Liu Qiang, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, emphasized at the ceremony that Fushun is actively implementing the Shen-Fu urbanization strategy and accelerating the comprehensive revitalization of the old industrial area. By being designated as a national fine chemical industrialization base, Fushun is expected to enhance its national and global influence, establishing itself as a key strategic point in market competition. In the coming years, the city plans to build a high-level fine chemical industry park, improve resource efficiency, promote integration between production and R&D, and focus on developing competitive, high-value products. Efforts will also be made to attract investment from top international companies, helping Fushun develop a number of distinctive, technologically advanced fine chemical industry bases. During the signing ceremony, Ma Rui, a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, signed a cooperation agreement with Dalian University of Technology and the Liaoning Petrochemical Planning and Design Institute to establish the Fushun National Fine Chemical Industry Industrialization Research Alliance. Attendees included Vice Governor Teng Weiping, members of the Municipal Party Standing Committee, Secretary General Yuan Fang, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC, and Zhu Qiang, Director of the Fushun Hi-tech Zone Management Committee, among other provincial and municipal leaders.
