On August 15th, the reporter of the National Development and Reform Commission's Price Monitoring Center was informed that through the monitoring of 36 large and medium-sized cities across the country, the national automobile market prices continued to decline slightly in July, and the prices of domestically produced and imported automobiles continued to decline.
Domestic car prices fell slightly. In July, the price of domestically produced vehicles fell by 0.08% from the previous month and by 1.15% from the same period of last year. The prices of passenger cars and commercial vehicles all declined slightly.
The passenger car price dropped by 0.10% from the previous month and decreased by 1.62% year-on-year. Among the subdivided models, the prices of sports passenger cars and minibuses decreased by 0.28% and 0.25% respectively from the previous month, which was 2.73% and 3.40% lower than the same period of last year. The price of basic passenger cars was the same as last month.
In addition, the price of commercial vehicles fell slightly, down 0.05% from the previous month and down 0.50% from the same period last year. Among them, the price of commercial buses decreased by 0.22% from the previous month and decreased by 1.45% compared with the same period of last year. Among the subdivided models, the price of light passenger vehicles decreased by 1.10% from the previous month and decreased by 0.93% year-on-year; the price of large passenger vehicles increased by 0.12% from the previous month and decreased by 1.59%. The price of commercial trucks rose by 0.18% from the previous month and rose by 0.84% ​​from the same period last year. Among the subdivided models, the price of light trucks increased by 2.25% from the previous month; the price of medium-sized trucks decreased by 0.42% compared with the previous month; the price of heavy-duty trucks was unchanged from the previous month.
It is worth noting that the price of imported cars has been falling for three consecutive months. In July, the price of imported cars fell by 0.34% from the previous month and fell by 2.55% from the same period last year. Among them, the price of imported cars decreased by 0.17% and 4.98% respectively, and the price of imported off-road vehicles decreased by 0.50% and 0.04% respectively.
Cheng Xiaodong, chief analyst of the Price Monitoring Center of the National Development and Reform Commission, predicts that under the circumstances that the macro-control policies and supply and demand relations will not change much, the trend of stable and slightly lower automobile prices will continue.
