Chicago working fire, January 7, 2015

This is from Drew Gresik:

Since it’s been a quiet month in terms of major working fires in the city, I thought I’d share some photos from a working fire that took place at 1416 S. Ridgeway on January 7th. It was just a couple of hours after a still and box incident about seven blocks away at 1514 S. Kostner. The temperature was extremely low that day, making conditions pretty tough for everyone involved. As always, feel free to check out my website for more shots from this and other events. You can find them all at www.chi-townfirephotos.smugmug.com. Drew Gresik

I’ve been documenting Chicago fire scenes for several years now, and even during slower months, there’s always something worth capturing. These images give a glimpse into the dedication of the firefighters who respond to calls, no matter how cold or challenging the conditions. Whether it's a working fire or a still and box, every call is important and deserves attention. If you're interested in seeing more, definitely visit my site—it’s updated regularly with new photos and stories.
