| At present, large-scale oilfield water injection pumps mostly bear the load bearing operation, due to maintenance, lubricating oil quality, sudden power failure and other reasons, resulting in serious wear on the bearing bushings and journals, generally require under the pump overhaul. Wu Zhenhai, a technician at Shengpan Oilfield Linpan Oil Production Plant, completely solved this problem by adopting a specially-designed extended bush method, which made history of the over-pumping pump overhaul. Specially lengthened bushings maximize the space and length available within the bush assembly, extending the bushings 30 to 40 millimeters in and out, respectively. The extension of the bush found the best corner fit with the journal, and the worn part no longer bears the main load so that the pump can continue to function normally. It is understood that the special extended bushings not only avoid the pump overhaul, but also improve the pumping station operating rate.
