Tianjin University and Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. have maintained close cooperative relations since the early 1970s. In 2007, on the basis of previous cooperation, an agreement was signed with Guangxi Yuchai to establish a joint laboratory of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the State Key Laboratory of Internal Combustion Engines of Tianjin University. The main research directions of the joint laboratory include: :Development of Advanced Diesel Engine Combustion Technology; Research on Diesel Engine Vibration and Noise and Automotive NVH; Research on Diesel Intake System.
According to reports, the cooperation between Tianjin University and Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. can be traced back to the early 1970s, when Shi Shaoxi’s compound combustion system was invented throughout the country, and the Yulin Diesel Engine Plant, the predecessor of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group, was used. The hybrid combustion system introduced the X105 series diesel engine. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Guangxi Yuchai developed rapidly. In 1992, Professor Xu Sidu began to cooperate fully with Guangxi Yuchai. In 1994, Tianjin University and Guangxi Yuchai signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the laboratory and Guangxi Yuchai. The Yuchai Technology Development Department was established at the State Key Laboratory of Combustion of Internal Combustion Engines, and the development department has remained until 2001. During the period from 2002 to 2006, Tianjin University still maintained a close cooperative relationship with Guangxi Yuchai. In 2007, on the basis of previous cooperation, Tianjin University and Guangxi Yuchai signed an agreement on school-enterprise cooperation and established the joint laboratory of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., the State Key Laboratory of Internal Combustion Engines of Tianjin University.
The cooperation between Tianjin University and Guangxi Yuchai not only plays an active role in promoting Yuchai’s technological progress, but also plays a positive role in the development of the diesel engine industry. In the early 1990s, before the country introduced emission regulations, Guangxi Yuchai and Tianjin University began joint research on technologies to reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines, laying the foundation for Yuchai's products to fully meet the national 1 emission standard. In pressurization technology, Yuchai is targeting Yuchai. The YC6112ZLQ diesel engine introduced has solved the low-speed torque problem through joint research. The technology has also been applied by domestic counterparts. In 2007, Yuchai and Tianjin University took the lead in launching VNT supercharger research and developed a technology based on EGR to meet the country's 4 emissions. In the diesel engine combustion system, two-stage booster technology was studied in 2008, and a two-stage supercharged diesel engine test rig was jointly established. The airway test rig developed by Tianjin University also first cooperated with Yuchai and developed Yuchai's product development and production line inspections. The quality inspection has been fully applied. At present, the test rig has been extended to more than 50 enterprises and research institutes across the country. Yuchai contributed to the successful development of the test rig. In the NVH research of the car, Yuchai and Tianjin University took the lead in carrying out sedans. NVH's research, in 2008 solved the problem of optimizing the NVH performance of 4F equipped with Hebei Shuanghuan SCEO vehicle. Export volume.
In terms of high-level personnel training, since 2002, three postdoctoral fellows at Tianjin University have entered the postdoctoral workstations of Yuchai companies and have already left the station. Since 2003, four doctoral students have been assigned to Yuchai after graduation. These doctoral graduates play an important role in Yuchai.
It is understood that since 1994, Tianjin University has signed more than 40 cooperation projects with Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. The total project funding is nearly 20 million yuan. In recent years, the cooperation between Tianjin University and Guangxi Yuchai has been better developed. In 2008, Tianjin University and Guangxi Yuchai signed four cooperation projects with a total funding of 3.52 million yuan.
