It is reported that the second base project signed this time plans to invest 3 billion yuan, covers an area of ​​450,000 square meters, and plans to produce 100,000 units, mainly for the production of pure electric and electric extended program SUV. The base will start construction in the second quarter of 2017 and is expected to be completed and put into production in 2018. The project covers the four major vehicle manufacturing processes of stamping, welding, painting and final assembly, and related facilities such as “three electrics†(motor, battery, electric control).
Not only that, but at the same time as the production base was signed, Chehejia announced that it would jointly set up a 4 billion yuan special industry fund with its shareholders and Changzhou Wujin National High-tech Industrial Development Zone for the future of car and home smart car second base. And related construction reserves of upstream and downstream industry chains.
At present, the first base of the car and home smart car has started construction in Changzhou in August 2016. The manufacturing base covers an area of ​​500,000 square meters, equivalent to 70 standard football fields. At the same time, the designed production capacity will reach 300,000 units. The factory will be divided into the first and second phases. At present, the construction of the base is progressing smoothly and will be put into operation as scheduled at the end of 2017.
