How a Diaphragm Pump Works:
The pump is driven by an AC or DC motor. In front of the motor, there is a valve assembly with two to five pump chambers. Each chamber has a diaphragm behind it in the lower housing. As the motor turns, an internal cam pushes the diaphragms forward and back in a continuous sequence, creating suction. This suction pulls fluid through the inlet, via check valves, and out through the outlet.
The flow rate depends on factors like the number and size of pump chambers, cam offset, operating pressure, and fluid viscosity.
