Introduction to the use of the six major re-election processes

More reselection production process type, depending on the equipment used and the action principle, can be divided into hierarchical reselection procedure, washing, dressing jig, shaking dressing, dressing chute, six heavy medium beneficiation.

The first two categories are mainly sorted by particle size and belong to the preparatory work before sorting, which is used to control the particle size, deliming and dehydration of grinding products;

Washing ore is used as an auxiliary operation for beneficiation. When the ore contains more than 10% mud (-200 mesh), it is often necessary to wash the ore;

The latter four categories are sorted by density and belong to the sorting operation.

Jig dressing is one of the main reselection method, generally used as a coarser grade mineral sorting, the upper limit to the particle size of ore greater when dealing with metal ore, ore to the upper limit of the particle size up to 20 mm.

Shaker beneficiation is one of the most successful and effective re-election methods for selecting fine ore. The ore size is generally 3~0.037 mm; chute beneficiation is a relatively simple re-election method.

The ore chute is mostly used for sorting of dense ore such as gold, platinum , tin sand ore; heavy medium dressing is generally used to remove a large number of gangue before sorting to increase the treatment volume.

Brief description

Washing

After using the mechanical force and the water flow force to disperse the clay, the sedimentation velocity (or viscosity) of the ore particles is divided into different levels.

As an auxiliary operation for beneficiation, when the ore contains more than 10% of mud ( -200 mesh), it is often necessary to wash the ore.

Hydraulic classification

Using the uniform velocity water movement, the ore particles are divided into different levels according to the sedimentation speed (or granularity).

  1. 1) Preparation before the beneficiation;
  2. 2) used to control the particle size of the grinding product;
  3. 3) Used for deliming and dehydration

Jigging washing

Use vertical pulsating medium flow to make the ore clusters loose, dense and layered by density to achieve sorting

It is one of the main re-election methods. It is generally used as a sorting of coarser-grained minerals. The upper limit of the ore size is larger. When processing metal ore, it is usually less than 20 mm.

Shaker dressing

Separating different minerals by the inertial force of the reciprocating motion of the bed surface and the impulse of the oblique water flow

It is one of the most successful and effective re-election methods for selecting fine ore. The ore size is generally 3~0.037 mm.

Chute washing

Based on the law of the movement of the ore particles on the inclined surface, the minerals of different densities are separated.

It is a relatively simple re-election method. The ore chute is mostly used for the selection of gold, platinum and tin sand ore, and the coarse selection of ore such as tungsten and tin in the slime process.

Heavy medium dressing

Is a beneficiation method for sorting ore particles by density in a liquid or suspension with a density greater than one .

Generally used to go out a lot of gangue before sorting to increase the throughput

Various gravity beneficiation methods are sorted by density. However, when the particle size of the ore is small, the difficulty of separation by density will increase. This is mainly because the weight of the fine particles is small, and the separation speed and precision in the gravity field are small. Therefore, some sorting in the centrifugal force field has been studied. Re-election equipment for fine-grained minerals, such as centrifugal concentrators, centrifugal shakers, heavy medium cyclones, spiral concentrators and spiral chutes.
