Handan City Export Enterprises actively responded to EU anti-dumping case against Chinese seamless steel tubes

On June 28, 2008, the European Union's Seamless Steel Tube Committee filed a complaint with the European Commission on behalf of the EC seamless steel tube industry, requesting anti-dumping investigations against seamless steel tubes originating in China. On July 9, on the application of the European Union's Stainless Steel Pipe Industry Protection Committee, the European Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation against a seamless steel pipe originating in China. The product involved in the seamless steel tube case was: some kind of seamless steel pipe, circular section, according to the International Welding Society standards and chemical analysis, the outer diameter does not exceed 406.4 mm, and the carbon content does not exceed 0.86. The dumping investigation period for this case was from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008. The European Commission initially selected the United States as a replacement for calculating the normal value of products involved in the Chinese case.
Handan Precision Seamless Steel Tube Co., Ltd. is a company involved in the case, involving a total amount of 1,324,900 US dollars. Among all involved companies, the amount of money involved in the production company is among the highest. The import and export chamber of commerce has listed companies with an export value of more than one million US dollars as the key affiliates. At present, the company has participated in the Responsibility Coordination Meeting held in Beijing. The person in charge of the company stated that it will actively respond to the lawsuit and safeguard its own legitimate rights and interests. And has started responding to specific work. The Municipal Bureau of Commerce will pay close attention to the progress of the case and actively guide the enterprises in anti-dumping and responding work.
