The government of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, on the basis of surveying urban sewage treatment plants, textile dyeing and finishing, chemical industry, and monosodium glutamate, recently issued the “Regarding the Implementation of a Time Limit for 7 Units such as Jilin Chemical Group Suzhou Anli Chemical Co., Ltd.†Decision".
It is understood that the newly implemented pollutant discharge limit in the Taihu Lake region this year is the most stringent water pollution discharge standard in the country. It stipulates that the emission limits of major pollutants in urban sewage treatment plants all meet the national Grade A standard; and the limits of chemical oxygen demand, ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus emissions in the six industries such as textile dyeing and finishing and chemical industry are on an equal basis. It increased by 28.3%, 66.7% and 50%, and all reached the international advanced level.
Of the time-limited governance schedules set by Suzhou, three companies are required to meet the discharge standards for chemical oxygen demand before June 30, namely, Jilin Chemical Group Suzhou Anli Chemical Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Sugang Group Co., Ltd. and Suzhou Guxi Co., Ltd. Electron Co., Ltd. electroplating factory; required to achieve the ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus standards discharge before December 31, there are four sewage treatment plants, namely, Suzhou Fuxing Sewage Treatment Plant, Suzhou City Chengdong Sewage Treatment Plant, Suzhou City, Lanzhou Sewage Treatment plant, Suzhou City West sewage treatment plant.
For enterprises that have limited deadlines for governance, Suzhou has organized special personnel to strengthen guidance and supervision in accordance with the requirements of “one enterprise, one policyâ€. During the period of limited treatment, enterprises are required to limit production and discharge restrictions, strengthen pollution control, and report the progress of pollution control to the Suzhou Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau before the 5th day of each month; enterprises that have not completed overdue management tasks will be shut down or shut down according to law.
