Seiko Instruments to expand chip-type electric double-layer capacitor product lineup

It is reported that Seiko Instruments Co., Ltd. (SII) will expand its chip-type electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) product lineup. Products include CPX10080C104F (hereinafter referred to as "CPX104"), CPZ10080C104F (hereinafter referred to as "CPZ104") and CPX10080C402F (hereinafter referred to as "CPX402"). With the industry's lowest internal impedance (only 0.5 ohms), the CPX104 has an internal impedance of 1.5 ohms and has a very small leakage current of less than 10nA. It is understood that, CPX104, CPZ104 and CPX402 small reflowable chip EDLC, has a very low internal impedance, can release about hundreds of milliamps of large discharge current. Moreover, the superior hermetic ceramic package guarantees long-term reliability. Seiko Instruments successfully reduces the capacitor leakage current (self-discharge) to less than 10nA, while also reducing the internal impedance of the CPX104 and CPZ104. Even a small amount of micro-watt from the energy harvesting device can be effectively charged. The CPX402 is an ultra fast charging EDLC that boosts voltage in a short period of time.
