CHARACTERISTICS

INTRODUCTION
The MD150 is a high-performance handheld metal detector designed to meet the exact requirements of the security industry. It is ideal for body searches in crowd control, airport and border security, checking parcels and letters for metal objects, and any scenario where hidden metal needs to be detected.
OPERATION
1. Operates on one 9V standard or rechargeable battery. To install the battery, slide off the battery cover and insert the battery matching the +/− symbols.
2. Turn the unit on by pressing the on/off switch until it clicks and the green LED lights up. Adjust the sensitivity by turning the knob anti-clockwise until the red LED lights and a constant tone is heard. Then turn it clockwise until the red LED just turns off and the tone fades (green LED on), achieving optimal sensitivity.
3. Hold the detector with the detection face facing the surface and sweep back and forth at a height of 10–30mm above the area being scanned.
4. The presence of metal will trigger an audio warning and the red LED will light up. If the detector is held still over a metal object, the signal will decrease automatically. Therefore, continuous scanning is essential during use.

The sensitivity of the detector depends on the size, shape, and composition of the object being detected. Typical performance figures are as follows:

LOW SENSITIVITY OPERATION
Press the low sensitivity switch during detection to respond only to larger metal objects like guns or knives, ignoring smaller items like coins or keys. Do not release the switch until the low sensitivity detection is complete.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY SOCKET
1. You can use a 9V rechargeable battery to power the detector.
2. It takes 4–6 hours to fully charge the battery. The battery charger socket is located on the side of the detector.
Note: Turn off the detector when charging it.
EARPHONE
Can be connected for use in noisy environments.
SIGNAL LED LIGHT
The brighter the LED, the larger the detected metal object.
VIBRATOR BUTTON
The detector has a vibrator button located on the side. It should be used in noisy work environments or areas where the audio tone should not be heard. Press the button to activate vibration; release it to switch back to audio mode.
NOTE
1. If the green light goes out or the unit makes unusual sounds, it may be unstable. Do not use it until the battery is recharged or replaced.
2. If not in use for a long time, remove the battery to prevent leakage that could damage the device.
3. Store the detector in a dry and warm environment when not in use.
