China's auto industry has become a pillar industry - China Machinery Industry Federation

Zhang Xiaozheng, vice president of the China Federation of Machinery Industry, attended the inaugural meeting of the Auto Dealers Chamber of Commerce of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce on December 3, saying that in the past five years, the strength of China’s auto industry has greatly increased and it has become the pillar of the national economy. industry.

Zhang Xiaoyu explained that during the “10th Five-Year Plan” period, China’s auto industry’s investment in fixed assets was 235 billion yuan, even more than the sum of the four five-year plans for the “6th Five-Year”, “July 5”, “Eighth Five-Year” and “Nineth Five-Year” plans. In the past five years, the entire industry has increased the production of large-scale production equipment by 100,000 units, and the old equipment used in the past has basically been eliminated; the area of factories in the automotive industry has increased by 30 million square meters; the production area of the automotive industry has exceeded 100 million square meters; In the past five years, the automobile industry produced 28 million automobiles, which exceeded the total output of the previous 20 years. In 2005 alone, the output value reached 1.2 trillion yuan, and the automobile industry paid more than 200 billion yuan to the state; direct employees in the automotive industry With 1.8 million people, the industry chain has more than 18 million employees. As the auto industry has adjusted its industrial structure in the past five years, Zhang Xiaoxuan said that China has begun to move from a manufacturing power to an industrial power.

"According to this year's statistical report, there are three auto group industry scales that will exceed 1 million, another three will exceed 500,000, and four will exceed 200,000. These 10 enterprise groups are in the national automotive industry. The proportion will exceed 80%, compared to the pattern of decentralized production in more than 100 auto companies in the past, which has already undergone a fundamental change." Zhang Xiaoxi said.

Regarding the overall trend of the future development of the automobile industry, Zhang Xiaoji believes that, first of all, the automobile industry must adapt to the needs of the national economy and social development and serve the higher level of well-to-do life. In the next 5 to 15 years, the growth rate of the auto industry will be slightly higher than the growth rate of GDP. Second, we must adhere to the concept of scientific development proposed by the central government, take the road of new industrial development, and make contributions to building a harmonious society. The auto industry must enter its high-tech industries through its own technological advancement or technological innovation; the equipment manufacturing industry must adopt independent innovation, master core technologies, and enter the ranks of developed countries. Third, with the development of economic globalization, China must become a big industrial country from a big manufacturing country and become an important part of the world's strong industries. It must lead the development trend of the global automotive industry.

"In the WTO agreement, the documents concerning the automobile trade in services include the three general documents on the general coordination of trade in goods, the General Agreement on Trade in Services, and the barriers to technology trade." Zhang Xiaoyu said, "Services concerning automobile trade other than the automobile manufacturing industry The means are all in the field of automobile service trade, including finance, leasing, insurance, sales, logistics, etc. Therefore, the development of the automobile industry must be supported by a strong service trade system."

"To become a strong country in the automotive industry, China must establish a competitive sales service system that adapts to Chinese characteristics. If the innovation in the automobile industry only stays at the level of product development and innovation, there will be no innovation in the sales service field, and China will not be able to become Industry power." Zhang Xiaoyu said.
