This is from Crabby Milton:
The West Allis Fire Department held their annual Station 2 open house on Saturday, May 20th. It was a fun and informative event with a wide variety of fire apparatus on display. Here are two standout pieces from the day. The first is the 2016 Seagrave Marauder II pumper, which looked sharp and well-maintained. The second was a 1991 Seagrave aerial ladder truck, which had a classic look and still appeared to be in good working condition.
From what I heard, the new Seagrave pumper was a big hit with visitors. Many of the department's rigs are PIERCE models, and some have had issues with suspension and rust over the years. The firefighters I spoke with were happy to mention that they’ve already placed orders for two more Seagrave units, likely to arrive next year or maybe even in 2019. It seems like they're making a smart move to upgrade their fleet.
Thanks for sharing this update, Crabby. It’s always interesting to see how local departments are evolving and improving their equipment. If you’re ever at an open house, it’s worth checking out — there’s usually something exciting on display.
